When I originally launched Some Fantastic in 2004, I distributed it primarily via the PDF format because it represented a hybrid of traditional and electronic publishing. As a result of my background with The Gleaner, the student newspaper at Rutgers-Camden, and The New York Review of Science Fiction, I had experience in newspaper/magazine-style layout. Using the PDF format fulfilled two goals: one, each issue was designed to be read at as a unified whole, and, two, magazine-bound print issues remained a possibility. In fact, I did publish very limited print runs for each issue, mostly for the contributors of the magazine. Unfortunately, I no longer have the resources necessary to continue publishing in such a manner. However, I will always leave open the possibility of another such offering at some point in the indeterminate future.
Issue numbers 1-10 are now online. Additional original PDF issues of Some Fantastic coming soon.
